Used Commercial Cardio Exercise Equipment
Used Bikes
Exercise bikes, also called stationary bikes, have been an essential piece of cardio equipment in fitness centers for many years. Fitness Rush stocks both new exercise bikes and used exercise bikes and we carry models for every budget.
Though they are basic cardio equipment, today's exercise bikes come in several different styles. The styles available today include the standard upright exercise bike, the reclined (or recumbent) exercise bike, the air-resistance upright exercise bike, and the new, very popular spinner bike. Exercise bikes are a staple piece of equipment because of the low-impact, high-gain cardio exercise they offer.
Used Ellipticals
Elliptical machines are the biggest leap forward in cardio exercise equipment since treadmills and exercise bikes were invented. Fitness Rush has both used ellipticals and new ellipticals in stock. The used machines have been diligently refurbished. A refurbished elliptical machine is essentially the same quality as a new model.
Ellipticals have become very popular because they provide the same cardio workout as running, but their smooth, gliding motion means there is virtually no impact to knees and ankles. In fact, since your feet do not leave the platforms, you can also get a workout much like a stepper. Decreasing resistance allows the fast pace of a run, while increasing it provides a strength workout like a stepper. With an elliptical, you are getting two different cardio workouts in one piece of equipment!
Used Steppers
Steppers, also called stair climbers, are a versatile piece of cardio equipment. Fitness Rush carries a large stock of used steppers of various models. All of our steppers are health-club quality and have been refurbished to like-new condition. We only stock high-quality steppers, because poorly made ones feel flimsy when used and that can affect motivation to work out.
Steppers not only offer a great cardio exercise, but a strength-building exercise as well. They have many settings for different levels of resistance; less resistance gives you a tremendous cardio exercise and more resistance lets you concentrate on strengthening the muscles in your legs. Another advantage steppers have over other cardio exercise equipment is size. Steppers generally take up less space than a standard treadmill or elliptical, so they are a good investment for a small home gym. Fitness Rush will help you decide which piece of cardio equipment will best fit your needs.
Used Treadmills
Treadmills are a fundamental piece of cardio exercise equipment. Fitness Rush carries numerous models of both used treadmills and new treadmills. All the treadmills we carry are health facility quality - they are well built and won't shake when in use. The used treadmills have been carefully refurbished and are as mechanically sound as the new ones. We have both folding treadmills and standard treadmills. The folding models include manual and power folding treadmills. Folding treadmills are poplar with people who are concerned with conserving space.
Treadmills remain the most widely used piece of aerobic exercise equipment, and with good reason. There are many people that prefer to have a straightforward run as the core of their cardio exercise program. Running, jogging, and walking are favored aerobic workouts because of the full body motion involved. When running on a treadmill, you don't need to use the stabilizing bars like stepper or elliptical. Many runners still use other cardio equipment for supplemental strength and toning exercises, but they prefer the simple movement of running. Fitness Rush will assist you in choosing which treadmill best fits your needs.
Other Cardio
In addition to the more standard cardio equipment, Fitness Rush carries other types of cardio machines that many people look for in order to get a complete aerobic workout. One type of machine we have is a rower. Rowers offer a full-body workout from a seated position. Rowers are good for people wanting a cardio exercise that works out arms as equally as legs. In addition to the cardio benefits of a rower, the user also gets a great strength and toning workout. Different resistance settings cause the workout to range from mostly cardio to mostly strength.
Fitness Rush also carries aerobic steps that can be used in aerobics classes or with recorded aerobics tapes. Though typically used in structured aerobics routines specifically for steps, they can be used independently for squats, lunges and calf raises.
